In recent years, assisted living and memory care facilities have become a “hot topic” in the real estate world. As the population ages and as the need for these facilities continues to expand, join CREW for a compelling discussion about development implications from those “in the know.”


Timothy S. Hollister, Esq.
Attorney, Shipman & Goodwin LLP
Tim Hollister is an attorney and partner in the Hartford office of Shipman & Goodwin LLP, where he is co-chair of the firm’s 25 attorney Real Estate, Environmental, and Land Use Practice Group. Tim’s practice focuses on land use, environmental, and municipal law, and he is nationally known for his work on affordable housing, wetlands regulation, and eminent domain. Tim is a graduate of Wesleyan, and received his Masters in Urban Studies from Occidental College in Los Angeles, and his law degree from Boston University.

As founding Principal of Melite Design, Ann has over 15 years of specialized experience, education, and knowledge in designing environments to engage and empower seniors. After 13 years as Principal for a mid-sized architectural firm where she spearheaded the Senior Living studio, Ann decided to follow her passion and open her own firm solely focusing on the abilities, and minimizing the challenges of an aging population, with the mission of designing spaces that are not only attractive, but improve quality of life and wellbeing. The types of projects Ann has served as designer and/or consultant include senior centers, Independent living housing, HUD Affordable senior housing, Assisted Living, skilled nursing, as well as Memory care housing. Each project is approached as unique and individual, taking into consideration the goals of staffing, management, and especially the elder population within.


Jenna Bennetti, CPA
Manager, Whittlesey & Hadley, P.C.
CREW CT 2017 Sponsorship Committee Co-Chair

Jenna is currently a manager in the audit department at Whittlesey & Hadley, P.C. in Hartford, where she has worked for over 8 years. Ms. Bennetti is a member of the real estate niche at W&H and manages real estate and non-profit audits. Within real estate, her primary focus is on affordable housing financial and compliance audits for entities with HUD, CHFA or DECD financing, but also performs and supervises a variety of other real estate entity audits and has experience with cost certifications. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Criminology in 2008, and has been a CPA since 2012. Ms. Bennetti joined CREW-CT in 2014. She served on the program and professional development committees prior to her appointment as sponsorship committee co-chair for the 2017 term.
