They had this to say about the conference:

Hilary Stoudt:
The 2019 CREW was equally informative and inspiring. The fearless flyer, Carey Lohrenz, was the US Navy’s first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot with an incredible sense of humor! She was interviewed at 22 by a young Wolf Blitzer after becoming the first woman to graduate and overcome the resistance of her commanders and society. She cheerfully reminded us that, ‘you don’t have to have it all figured out’ but not to back down from your goals – find a third way if necessary.

Skylar Tibbits of MIT founded a lab that 4-D prints stretchable plastics used to act as a man-made reef as an alternative to drudging to prevent land erosion. His methods are groundbreaking and will likely act as solutions to problems building and landowners will be looking to quickly solve in the near amid warming climates.

Judy Denny:
The CREW Convention was a game changer for my professional career. It gave me answers to many of the questions I have been pondering on for the past year. I know my success in my career is not only for myself but for others to keep going even when the odds are stacked against you. I networked with women from all over and shared my experience and was encouraged to not settle for less. I am motivated to share the knowledge I gained from the convention with my boss, which I did when I returned, and to others in my organization. I know my value and I will speak up and request a seat at the table until I am heard and given the opportunities that I've earned. Diversity, inclusion and equity have not been yet achieved, but I will make it my mission to stand out and keep pushing for myself and those to come.
